God of War Laufey has been delayed. Santa Monica Studio confirmed on November 4 that the PS5 exclusive moves from February 16, 2027 to May 20, 2027, about three months later than planned.

Why it was delayed
Santa Monica said it wants extra time for finishing touches and to push the game to its full potential. That's a polish delay, not a sign of trouble, the same kind of short move many big games make in their final months.
The timing also helps. Early 2027 got crowded after GTA 6 and other big games shifted their dates, so May gives Laufey more room to breathe.
