The Khazalite Holds are ready to march. Warhammer Community's Sunday Preview revealed the full range for Age of Sigmar's newest duardin faction: a massive High Kyng on a war throne, new heroes, infantry, a cannon, Gholems, a Fyreslayer-themed Spearhead, the battletome and more. Warhammer Community says they begin their march "next week". Here's everything in the wave.

High Kyng Valankrom

The centrepiece. Valankrom was crowned by Grungni himself and fights from a huge War Throne with the hammer Bharadreng. The kit can also be built as a regular Thrynn on War Throne, so you're not locked into the named character.

The heroes

  • Thrynn: a lord of the karaks who leads the war throng and settles grudges.
  • Runewright: the faction's magic user, working runes with forgehammers.
  • Hjulda Drakkblud: the last of her clan, with the two-handed axe Azangrom, out to reclaim fallen karaks.
  • Ormyr and Ashtongue: a wandering Fyreslayer and the Kyndledroth he rescued from hobgrots.

The army

  • Clanshields: the tough core infantry, built for holding objectives, with lots of build options.
  • Clangunners: gunlines armed with long-range Thrundok rifles or a shorter-range option, with a choice of heads for each regular gunner.
  • Valayan Guardians: elite warriors that can be armed with axes and shields or big two-handed weapons.
  • Gholems of Gazul: living statues with massive hammers. The kit can also build Gholems of Valaya with huge axes and shields.
  • Oathkeeper Cannon: artillery for monsters and big targets, which can also be built as a Stonebreaker Mortar for clearing infantry.

Spearhead: Magmic Fyrd

The Khazalite Holds Army Set already made a complete Spearhead, and now the duardin get a second one, themed around the Fyreslayers, with a big Magmadroth-riding hero and a mob of Fyreslayer warriors. If you're starting the faction, this is the box to watch.

Regiment of Renown: Fjori's Vengeance

A unit of vengeance-seeking Fyreslayers that can join any Grand Alliance: Order army, not just duardin.

Battletome and dice

Battletome: Khazalite Holds has the faction's lore, artwork and full rules, and Warhammer Community shows a second, special edition alongside the regular book. There's also a set of Khazalite Holds dice in frosted green with gold markings and the faction logo on the 6, available while stocks last.

When and how much?

Warhammer Community says the Khazalite Holds begin their march "next week", and pre-orders usually open on Saturday. Prices weren't in the preview. For the faction's rules so far, see our Khazalite Holds rules update, and if you're new to the hobby, how to start Warhammer in 2026.

My take

High Kyng Valankrom on that War Throne is one of the best centrepiece models Age of Sigmar has had in a while, and the build options everywhere (Thrynn or Valankrom, Gazul or Valaya Gholems, cannon or mortar) mean you get a lot out of each box. Old Dispossessed players finally have a proper home. Which kit are you grabbing first?
