At a league game, I saw a big red Ork war beast on the table, and it made me think of Games Workshop's festive miniature for this year: Da Red Gobbo's Squigmobile. So, what do you think of it?

What made me think of it

This beast belongs to another player at my league. It's a different model, not the festive one, but the big teeth, the red paint and the Orks hanging off every side reminded me straight away of Da Red Gobbo's Squigmobile.

Warhammer Community revealed it on October 16. Da Red Gobbo, the Orks' festive gift-giver, rides a squig-faced machine with a star on his helmet, a sack of presents and a candy cane, while his "elf" helper sits in a sidecar that looks a lot like a bomb.

The novella

It comes with a new novella, Da Red Gobbo's Reckoning by Callum Davis, about a ratling sniper squad sent into a frozen wasteland to hunt Da Red Gobbo. Pre-orders are reported for Saturday, November 7.

What do you think?

I think it's a fun, cute model and a nice Christmas tradition. Would you buy it, paint it, or skip it?
