Overlord watch order
- Season 1 (2015): 13 episodes
- Season 2 (2018): 13 episodes
- Season 3 (2018): 13 episodes
- Season 4 (2022): 13 episodes
- Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom (movie)
Two compilation movies (The Undead King and The Dark Warrior) retell Season 1 and are skippable. Ple Ple Pleiades is a chibi comedy spin-off: fun, not needed.
Where does The Sacred Kingdom fit?
The Sacred Kingdom adapts the Holy Kingdom arc (light novel volumes 12 and 13), which Season 4 skipped. In story order it takes place between the Dwarf Kingdom arc and the final arc of Season 4. The easy way: watch Seasons 1 to 4 in order, then the movie. You won't be lost either way, and it's a great finish after Season 4.
Where to stream Overlord
- Seasons 1 to 4 (52 episodes): Crunchyroll and Netflix.
- The Sacred Kingdom: Crunchyroll (subtitled and English dub) and Netflix.

Is there an Overlord Season 5?
Not officially. Madhouse and Kadokawa haven't announced Season 5. Rumors keep coming, but nothing is confirmed. The light novels have more story to adapt, so it's a matter of when, not if, but don't trust any "release date" you see until it comes from the official Overlord account.
My take
Overlord is the best "the villain is the main character" anime out there: Ainz pretending to be a genius overlord while panicking inside never gets old. If you've only seen the seasons, The Sacred Kingdom is a must, it's the arc fans waited years for.
