FLING, the Monad launchpad I launched WIZY on, just added stocks. Tesla, Nvidia, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq can now be traded around the clock on Monad, and FLING says you can launch a coin paired with a stock that pays its holders in that stock on every trade. Here's what was announced, how it's supposed to work, and the catches to know about.
Last updated October 26, 2026. This is fresh news; details may change as FLING shares more.
What FLING announced
On Monday, October 26, FLING posted "STOCKS ARE LIVE ON FLING" on its official channels. According to the announcement:
- Tesla, Nvidia, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq can now be traded on FLING, on the Monad network.
- Trading runs around the clock, not just during normal stock market hours.
- You can launch a coin paired with a stock. FLING says such a coin pays its holders in real stock, Tesla in its example, on every trade.
- The stock tokens come from xStocks and are backed 1:1 by the actual shares.
- FLING says more pairs are coming soon.
What are xStocks?
xStocks are tokens issued by Backed Finance. Each token tracks one US-listed stock or ETF, and each one is backed 1:1 by the real share held in custody. They first launched on Solana and have been listed on exchanges like Kraken and Bybit, and the xStocks project has passed $10 billion in transactions, according to Kraken's parent company Payward.
In plain English: instead of buying a Tesla share through a broker, you hold a token that's meant to always be worth one Tesla share, and you can trade it on a blockchain any time of day.
How the stock-paired coins are supposed to work
This is the new and unusual part. FLING says creators can launch a coin paired with a stock, and that the coin pays its holders in that stock on every trade. FLING hasn't published the full details yet, such as how much of each trade goes to holders, how often payouts happen or what the fees are. I'll update this article when it does.
If it works the way it sounds, it's a new idea for memecoins: instead of a coin with nothing behind it, holders would collect small amounts of a real stock as people trade.
The catches
- Not for US users. xStocks are generally not available to people in the United States, according to Kraken and Backed. Check whether you're eligible before trying it.
- A stock-paired coin is still a memecoin. Getting paid a bit of Tesla doesn't stop the coin's own price from falling. If trading dies down, the payouts shrink too.
- Brand new. It launched today. New features can have bugs, and details like fees aren't public yet.
- Stocks can drop too. Tesla and Nvidia move a lot, and trading around the clock means prices can move while you're asleep.
Why it matters for Monad
Real-world assets are a big theme on Monad this month. Tokenized US Treasuries and reinsurance yield arrived through Plume Vaults, and Robinhood listed MON. I covered that in Monad's October news. Stocks on a memecoin launchpad bring that idea to everyday crypto users, and it's another step on the FLING roadmap.
My take
I launched WIZY on FLING and use it, so I'm watching this closely. Stock-paired coins are the most interesting idea I've seen from a launchpad in a while, because they give holders something real instead of pure hype. But the details matter: how big the payouts are, what it costs, and who's allowed to use it. Until those are clear, I'd treat it as an experiment, not an investment. Would you buy a coin that pays you in Tesla?
