After the Warhammer 40,000 boxes, it's Age of Sigmar's turn. On October 26, Warhammer Community revealed this year's six Age of Sigmar battleforce boxes, and one of them has Nagash himself in it. Here's what's in every box, and which ones look like the best deals.
Last updated October 26, 2026. Prices and pre-order dates weren't in the reveal; I'll add them when Games Workshop announces them.
Nighthaunt: Court of the Undying King
- Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead
- 2 Dreadblade Harrows
- 10 Dreadscythe Harridans
- 10 Bladegheist Revenants
- 10 Grimghast Reapers
Warhammer Community calls it the power of "the Great Necromancer." Nagash is one of the biggest and most famous models in the whole game, so seeing him in a battleforce is the headline of this year's wave.
Stormcast Eternals: Annihilation Host

- Lord-Commander Bastian Carthalos
- Lord-Relictor
- Lord-Celestant
- 3 Praetors
- 6 Annihilators
- 3 Annihilators with Meteoric Grandhammers
A heavy-infantry force of Stormcast, led by Bastian Carthalos.
Cities of Sigmar: Knights of Hammerhal

- Tahlia Vedra, Lioness of the Parch
- Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal
- 10 Freeguild Cavaliers
A cavalry box: Tahlia Vedra leads the charge with ten Freeguild Cavaliers behind her.
Maggotkin of Nurgle: Plaguesworn Host

- Harbinger of Decay
- Lord of Blights
- 3 Sloven Knights
- 5 Putrid Blightkings
- 10 Rotswords
- 14 Pox-Wretches
- 6 Mire Kelpies
The biggest model count of the six, with heroes, cavalry and a lot of infantry.
Slaves to Darkness: Legion of Damnation

- Chaos Lord on Daemonic Mount
- 5 Chaos Chosen
- 3 Varanguard
- 5 Chaos Knights
- 10 Chaos Warriors
The armoured legions of the Varanspire, led by a Chaos Lord on a Daemonic Mount.
Orruk Warclans: Grunta Stampede

- Tuskboss on Maw-Grunta (can also be built as a Maw-Grunta Gouger or Maw-Grunta with Hakkin' Krew)
- Maw-Grunta Gouger (can also be built as a Tuskboss on Maw-Grunta or Maw-Grunta with Hakkin' Krew)
- 6 Gore-Gruntas
Ironjaw Orruks on gruntas: two big Maw-Gruntas as the hammers and six Gore-Gruntas as cavalry.
Early reaction
- More boxes than last year. Spikey Bits points out that Age of Sigmar gets six battleforces this time, up from four.
- Calm, not controversial. Bell of Lost Souls says none of the six looks likely to cause the kind of backlash the 40K Blood Angels battleforce did, as long as the prices are fair.
- Nagash is the talking point. Spikey Bits says the Nighthaunt box feels the most like a full army starter, and that Death players have wanted a Nagash box for a long time.
- Stormcast looks like strong value on paper, according to early breakdowns. Woehammer adds a fair warning: many of these boxes include characters that regular collectors already own.
What we don't know yet
The reveal didn't include prices or pre-order dates. Some sites estimate around $265 / £165 per box based on last year's pricing, but that's a guess, not an official price. Battleforces usually go up for pre-order before Christmas and often sell out fast.
My take
Nagash in a battleforce is the big one. He's a huge centrepiece, and putting him in a box with 32 more Nighthaunt models could make it the one everyone fights over. The Plaguesworn Host looks like the most models for your money, and the Grunta Stampede is a fun one for Orruk players. The real verdict depends on prices, which Games Workshop hasn't shared yet. Which box would you grab?
